We are looking for a strategically-minded social media director to be responsible for creating social media plans and timelines for the online sports betting and casino niche. The social media director’s responsibilities include scheduling and managing a team of talented social media staff, developing content for social media, creating a posting schedule, keeping track of competitor and similar accounts, spotting trends, create promotions and grow engagement. The Sr. Social Media Director will play a key role in driving the success of the social media efforts across our brands. We focus on both organic and paid social campaigns and create content based on current events along with entertaining content in our space, particularly the sports betting, pop culture and entertainment sectors. 

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will be accountable for the planning and implementation of the company’s overall social media strategies. You have a keen eye for current social media trends, experience developing and executing organic and paid campaigns, and use data to measure results.

Social Media Director Requirements and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure content creation and posting is completed in a timely, relevant fashion.
  • Understanding each brand’s unique voice and USP’s.
  • Overseeing content creation for Social platforms including IG, Twitter, Facebook, Telegram, Discord and more.
  • Setting up a posting schedule for all content.
  • Managing the addition of new images and headers when needed.
  • Monitoring social media metrics.
  • Researching target markets to adapt seasonal content accordingly.
  • Knowledge of social media scheduling software including Buffer, Sked and more.
  • Monitoring metrics.
  • Experience with photo editing software programs (proficiency preferred).
  • A professional demeanor when managing your team.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • You have experience liaising with CRM managers and their teams. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effectively gather information, structure clear reasons for decisions and lead debate where required. 
  • Demonstrate strong ability to work under pressure with multiple competing priorities.
  • Serve as a social media point of contact for stakeholders across the business.
  • Approve creative and copy for organic and paid social campaigns.
  • Provide stakeholders with strategic plans for organic and paid social media deployment.
  • Leverage social measurement tools and dashboards to compile data for monthly reports, including analysis for insights, optimizations, and future strategy development.
  • Work with graphic design and copywriting team to create social media creative assets. 
  • What you bring: 
    • 7+ years of marketing experience.
    • 2+ years of experience managing social media programs and strategy.
    • 2+ years of experience with social scheduling and monitoring tools (Buffer, Sked, others) 
    • Experience growing and managing a team with a focus on professional development and growth for direct reports 
    • Subject matter expertise in the use of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, etc.) with a strong understanding of the digital marketing landscape.

    You are collaborative to the core, with a demonstrated ability to work in a team environment as a leader and a member. You are a highly proactive, highly organized, self-starter capable of effectively managing several projects simultaneously with impeccable attention to detail. You are self-sufficient: you can work with little direct supervision, but you know when to ask for help • You are comfortable working remotely.

    This is a fully remote position, with the possibility of occasional travel.
